Why is workplace safety training important?

There are numerous legal reasons why employers should train staff. Almost every piece of health & safety legislation states employers must ensure "the provision of such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety at work of employees"; Section 2 of Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.But there are other reasons why employers should train their staff.

For any company their biggest asset is its people, they are the life blood that companies cannot do without. Having people absent due to work related injury or illness is costly. like pouring water into a leaky bucket money will be wasted through sick leave, increased insurance costs and lost productivity.

Health and safety training helps control the risks which could cause death or injury and is part of an employers due diligence defence should an incident occur. It is about ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.

We aim to make safety training easy and accessible for all businesses. Achieving compliance, simplifying safety and making life easier for you is our ultimate goal.

Office Safety

Office Safety

Offices are generally low risk environments and Office Safety management should take this into account. However, accidents and injuries can and do happen.

There are many hazards in an office environment that are often overlooked, not out of lack of forethought, but mainly due to them always being that way. What we live with from day to day becomes the norm.

The measures taken to prevent accidents and injuries in offices should match the degree of risk. Simple no cost/low cost management processes will help reduce the risks even further.
