Why is workplace safety training important?
There are numerous legal reasons why employers should train staff. Almost every piece of health & safety legislation states employers must ensure "the provision of such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety at work of employees"; Section 2 of Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.But there are other reasons why employers should train their staff.
For any company their biggest asset is its people, they are the life blood that companies cannot do without. Having people absent due to work related injury or illness is costly. like pouring water into a leaky bucket money will be wasted through sick leave, increased insurance costs and lost productivity.
Health and safety training helps control the risks which could cause death or injury and is part of an employers due diligence defence should an incident occur. It is about ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
We aim to make safety training easy and accessible for all businesses. Achieving compliance, simplifying safety and making life easier for you is our ultimate goal.
Accident Reporting and Investigation
Claims brought by those involved in accidents or incidents are a good reason to complete accident Investigations. In order for insurance companies to successfully defend against claims they will need all the relevant information possible.
Accidents and incidents which are reportable to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) need to have an investigation completed which identifies the actions taken to prevent recurrence. It may also help mitigate any potential enforcement action.
Our course will provide delegates with the confidence, tools and techniques required to complete a suitable and sufficient accident investigation.

Chemicals and other substances that are not managed correctly can have significant risks. The results of these risk can be anything from a small rash to potential fatalities. Understanding how to manage these chemicals & substances is relatively straight forward with the right knowledge, tools and processes.
Our course will provide delegates with the knowledge and tools required to demystify the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health' becomes an easy manage process.

The work at Height Regulations 2005 did not ban the use of ladders despite what some will tell you. They do however place certain obligations on how and when they can be used. Before using a ladder it must be assessed that it is the safest option.
Even a short fall from a ladder can result in life changing injuries or even a fatality. Our short ladder safety training course can help prevent you from becoming another 'Fall from Height' HSE statistic.
Covering the selection and use of ladders and step ladders this course is designed to help delegates understand the decision making process, what ladder(s) is most suitable and how it should be safely used.
As a cost effective solution Manual Handling Training is the #1 ‘Most Underrated Course’ available.
Which is hardly surprising considering how inconsistent some of the training can be. When Manual Handling Training is done correctly it has the potential to save company’s hundreds if not thousands of pounds.
Every time an employee calls saying they are not going to be in work due to a bad back, pulled muscle or crushed fingers; it costs money. Whether those costs be through sick pay, over time payments, hiring temporary staff to cover the absence or worse through eager solicitors wanting to claim compensation for their ‘clients’.
Offices are generally low risk environments and Office Safety management should take this into account. However, accidents and injuries can and do happen.
There are many hazards in an office environment that are often overlooked, not out of lack of forethought, but mainly due to them always being that way. What we live with from day to day becomes the norm.
The measures taken to prevent accidents and injuries in offices should match the degree of risk. Simple no cost/low cost management processes will help reduce the risks even further. Our Office Safety training will help those responsible to identify and implement some practical and realistic control measures.
